REEV

REEV’s mission is to help millions of people with reduced mobility to move around more easily on a daily basis. To achieve this, REEV has developed DREEVEN: a light and personalised motorised mobility aid, an alternative to a wheelchair or walker.

This assistance is a motorised medical orthosis providing unilateral motor support to facilitate daily movement (walking, getting up, sitting down, and using stairs) for children and adults with neurological motor disabilities (cerebral palsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, myopathies, nerve and spinal cord injuries, etc.).
Prescribed by a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, the DREEVEN solution will be customised for the patient with the help of an orthoprosthetist. It will allow the user to:

  • Feel lighter: relieve 50% of the effort of the knee and the quadriceps in order to reduce muscle fatigue.
  • Move easily: walk 5 times longer, stand up, sit down, and take stairs with ease.
  • Rehabilitate independently: gain muscle strength by doing resistive exercises at home.

DREEVEN’s control also adapts to the pathology and mobility observed in the user thanks to a personalised algorithm. This highly innovative personalisation of the gait control is possible thanks to a calibration with a connected gait analysis sensor (REEV SENSE), which the patient wears a few hours before wearing the final exoskeleton. The result is maximum comfort for the user, who then moves in symbiosis with his orthosis.
