Selection of candidates

The four Polytechnic Universities are responsible for pre-selecting five projects each through an internal process, which they present to the Foundation.

These will be research projects of an academic, entrepreneurial, scientific, ecological, humanitarian, innovative and highly promising nature, or start-up projects for which they must have the required qualifications. They must have graduated from one of the four universities within two years before the call for applications.
After thoroughly analysing the retained projects, the Foundation’s Scientific Committee invites up to two applicants per university to present their project and then recommends the Prize winners to the Foundation Board who is the final decision maker.
