Resolve: ExtRacellular vEsicle Signature fOr LiVer disEases

Fatty liver disease”, which can progress to cirrhosis and its complications, affects an estimated 25% of the world’s population. The Resolve technology is designed to be usable simply from plasma in all medical laboratories and would contribute to the translation of scientific knowledge about extracellular vesicles in liver disease into routine medical practice.

Improving the identification of patients at risk of developing complications is an unmet medical need that requires the identification of new and easily accessible biomarkers. Extracellular vesicles, which carry information between cells and organs and carry protein markers reflecting the state of their cells of origin, have emerged in recent years as an attractive source of biomarkers in liver disease. The Resolve project proposes the development of an innovative technology for the simultaneous detection of several vesicular proteins.
